Daphine Jean Asher

Mrs. Daphine Jean Asher of Roark, KY. passed away at her residence on Friday November 16, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born in Leslie County on January 21, 1940 the daughter of the late Ella Roark.  By occupation Daphine was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed watching T.V. and spending time with her family. Daphine was a member of the Muncy's Creek Holiness church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her: John D. and Laura Roark, mother: Ella Roark, children: Linda Lewis, Ronnie Barrett, Doug Barrett, Grandson: Kevin Barrett , brother: James Brock. She leaves surviving the following relatives: husband: Abraham Asher of Roark, KY, one son: Rick Barrett (Angie) of Harlan, Ky, four daughters: Peggy Lauthon (T.C.) of OH, Sandra Barrett (Larry Helton) of London, Ky Suzie Barrett of Georgetown, KY, Sharon Gibson (Eddie) of Bear Branch, KY, two brothers: John Brock (Barbara) of Pineville, KY, Eddie Cornett of FL, four sisters: Laura King of Williamsburg, KY, Donna Ball of Williamsburg, KY, Mildred Brock of FL, Jeanne Cornett of Lexington, KY, brother-in-law: J.C. Muncy , good friend: Eric Roark, precious Dogs: Sheba and Nicki.
