Dwight Mosley

October 21, 1945 — September 3, 2018

Mr. Dwight Mosley, 72, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home in Mozelle, KY.  Dwight was born October 21, 1945 in Mozelle, KY to the late Rufus Mosley and Pearl (Sizemore) Mosley.  He spent most of his adult life in Florida before returning home to Leslie County in 2010.  Dwight served honorably in the U.S. Army and was employed by several companies through the years including: Florida Department of Transportation (toll collector), Lockheed Space Operations, Brevard County School Board (maintenance worker), and Independent Life Insurance Company (salesman).  He attended the United Methodist Church.  He was an avid UK basketball fan and enjoyed fishing and attending activities with Beech Fork Senior Citizens.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents; two nephews, David and Doug Mosley; and brother-in-law Gary Nickerson.  He is survived by two beloved daughters, Amy Morrison (David) of Artesia, New Mexico and Amanda Tucker (Karl) of Tallahassee, Florida.  Other survivors include: former spouse and daughters’ mother, Gloria; a brother, Vance Mosley (Elsie) of Mozelle, Kentucky; four sisters, Jewell Wilson (Herman) of Helton, Kentucky; Ruby Nickerson of Yulee, Florida; Goldie Curry (Bryant) of Roaring River, North Carolina; and Linda Nantz (Alvin) of Mozelle, Kentucky.  He was Papa to six treasured grandchildren: Nicolas Morrison, Hannah Morrison, Timothy Morrison, Jeron Morrison, Korinne Morrison, and Ethan Bigelow.  He will be missed by many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Sunday, September 9, 2018 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Sunday, September 9th @ 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
