Mr. Emmitt Farmer of Stinnett, KY. passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 82. Emmitt was born, July 23, 1936 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Clyde & Esther Smith Farmer. Emmitt had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked at Blue Diamond Coal Co. & a retired mechanic. Emmitt was a devoted member of the Stinnett Church of Christ, Hoskinston, KY. He was a member of the Hyden Masonic Lodge #664. Emmitt enjoyed gardening, fishing, ginsenging & spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, loving & devoted wife, Nannie Caldwell Farmer, beloved son, Ronnie Clyde Farmer, brothers, Hiram, Hershel, Clen & Clay Farmer & sisters, Ethel Moore & Zola Begley. He leaves the following relatives surviving, 5 beloved daughters, Judy Farmer of Stinnett, KY., Rita Noble (Phillip) of Stinnett, KY., Tammy Bowling (Patrick), of Franklin, KY, Tina Morgan (Doug) of Hoskinston, KY & Sandra Napier (Dean) of Stinnett, KY. 10 treasured grandchildren, James Burton, Heather Begley (Jeff), Blake Noble, Holly Chandler (Jason), Kristy Morgan, Johnathan Napier, Chandra Napier, Hannah Bowling, Ronnie Farmer (Brittany) & Savannah Farmer & 6 treasured great grandchildren & one sister, Bernice Farmer Roberts of Stinnett, KY. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.
Funeral:Thursday, July 26, 2018 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Church of Christ, Hoskinston, KY.
