Mr. Leamon Maggard born August 12, 1942 departed this life on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. He was 75 years old. Leamon was born at Maggard's Branch, Cutshin, Ky., the son of the late John & Mavy Hall Maggard. Leamon loved to garden especially growing tomatoes, however his greatest joy & love was his treasured grandson, Otis Lee. Leamon was a life-long resident of Leslie County & a resident of the Hyden Health & Rehab Facility at the time of his death. Leamon was preceded in death by his parents, life-long companion Beatrice Coots, his beloved son, Otis Maggard, brothers; Bobby Maggard, Larry Maggard, Darrell Maggard, Otis Maggard, sister; Paulette Day, brothers - in- law; Carl Coots, Johnny Fouts, Jr. & Mike Day. Leamon leaves surviving 4 brothers, David Maggard & Vicki of Nicholasville, Ky., Johnny Wayne Maggard & Peggy of Lancaster, Ky., Kenneth Maggard of Florida, Gary Maggard of Nicholasville, Ky., 3 Sisters; Charlene Coots of Wooton, Ky., Jeweldean Fouts, of Smilax, Ky., Annette Milan of Cornettsville, Ky., sister-in - law, Marsha Maggard of Smilax, Ky and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
