Mrs. Hazel Burns Napier, born June 10, 1940 departed this life on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Ky. She was 78 years old. Hazel was born at Clay Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Ray Burns & Ophia Sizemore Burns. She was a retired business owner having owned and operated Hazel Napier Grocery in Hyden, Ky., and Giovanni's restaurant. She was responsible for bringing the first Giovanni's to Leslie County. Hazel enjoyed traveling, however her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Hazel had been a resident of East Bernstadt, Ky., for the past 16 years and was a member of the East Bernstadt Church of God. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Chester, Leonard, & Johnny Burns, sister; Ellar Gross & step grandson; Justin Henley. Mrs. Hazel Burns Napier leaves the following relatives surviving; her loving and devoted husband; Clayton Napier of East Bernstadt, Ky., beloved son; Ronald Gene Napier of East Bernstadt, Ky., beloved daughter & special son-in-law; Tina Napier Maggard & James, step-daughter; Linda F. Henley of Ohio, brother David Burns & wife, Linda, of Livingston, Ky., sister; Helen Elvington & husband, Max, of Nashville, Tennessee, four treasured grandchildren; Cindall Feltner Sizemore and husband, Timmy, Erica Hoskins and husband, Charles, James Cox & wife, Brittany, Clay Andre Cox, four treasured great-grandchildren; Karley Sizemore, Taylen Cox, Graydon Hoskins, Corah Cox, step-grandchild; Eric Henley & a host of other relatives and friends
