Lawrence Edward Morgan

Lawrence "Lance" Edward Morgan of Hyden, KY. passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 78. Lance was born December 22, 1939 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Bruce Morgan & Callie Howard Morgan. Lance had been a resident of Hyden, KY. for the past 25 years coming from Dayton, OH. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force & was a retired employee of General Motors. Lance enjoyed horse racing and U-Bet, sitting on Main St. in Hyden with his friends, traveling, cooking for friends, shooting matches, muscle cars, driving fast, boating, fishing & being with family.

Lance was preceded in death by his Parents & Brother-In-Law, Ben Maggard. He leaves the following relatives surviving, Mother of his Children, Dora Lee Morgan, Beloved Ex-Wife, Alice Cornett Morgan of Hyden, KY., Step-Daughter, Lisa Morgan of Lexington, KY.,  3 Daughters, Gina Cohen of Englewood, OH., Tina Opauski & husband, Charles of Beaver Creek, OH. & Bridget Morgan (Denzil "Scott" Smith) of Hyden, KY., Sister, Audrey Maggard, Hyden, KY., 6 Grandchildren, Noah Cohen, Katie Mitchell, Thomas Opauski, Brandon Morgan, Brianna Maxwell & Victoria Maxwell, 4 Great Grandchildren, Lily, Lance, Zoey & McKenzie, Nieces & Nephews, Elizabeth Ann Sizemore (Lige), Johnny Bruce Maggard, Amy Sizemore & Andrew Taylor Maggard, a host of Great Nieces & Nephews, Special Cousin like a Brother, Bill Turnbow & special friends, Johnny & Flo Sizemore & their family. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Friday, July 13, 2018 @ 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
