THE OBITUARY OF SOPHIA BAKER
Sophia Baker of Persimmon Fork Road, Yeaddiss, Ky., born November 24, 1941 departed this life on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Ky. She was 76 years old. Sophia was born in Leslie Co., KY., the daughter of the late, Ishmael & Elsie Williams Baker. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation she had worked for the Leslie Co. Board of Education as a cook & teachers aide. She was a faithful & dedicated member of the Persimmon Fork Church of God in Jesus Name for over 55 years. Sophia dedicated her life to loving & caring for her family. She loved God, flowers of all colors, reading & puzzles.
Sophia was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Pearl Baker, Earnest Baker, Hobert Baker & Farmer Baker & 3 sisters, Nancy Jane Cornett, Edna Carroll & Tina France. She leaves the following relatives surviving, special sister in law, Elaine Baker, 10 nieces, 9 nephews & special nephew, Tim France. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
