Mr. Haywood Gilbert of Stinnett, Ky., born July 29, 1936 departed this life on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky.  He was 81 years old .  Haywood was born at Helton, Ky., the son of the late Betty Gilbert.  Haywood was a retired logger and carpenter.  He was affiliated with the Stinnett Gap Church of God and the Stinnett Pentecostal Church both at Stinnett, Ky.,  Haywood was an avid University of Ky. basketball fan. He also   enjoyed gardening, coon & rabbit hunting, however his greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, children & grandchildren.  Mr. Haywood Gilbert was preceded in death by mother; Betty Gilbert, one granddaughter; Kendra Hall, one brother; Ace Gilbert, twin sister; Plinie Gilbert and his best friend; Bert Hacker.  Mr. Haywood Gilbert leaves the following relatives suriviving; his loving and devoted wife, Jacqueline Smith Gilbert of Stinnett, Ky., three beloved sons; Roger Gilbert and his wife, Karen of Stinnett, Ky., Johnny Gilbert and his wife, Carolyn of Thousandsticks, Ky., Donald Gilbert of Stinnett, Ky., three beloved daughters; Oma Huff and husband, Leslie of Confluence, Ky., Christine Smith and husband, Chalous of Stinnett, Ky., Lola Faye Johnson of Isom, Ky., one sister; Della Gilbert Brown of Stinnett, Ky.,  treasured grandchildren; Kevin Bray & Nikki, Kyle Nantz, Wesley Gilbert and Gwen, Josh Huff & Jessica, Sonya Wright & Joey, Nathan Hall, LeAnn Hensley & Aaron, Monica Hacker & Adam, Heather Akers & Josh, Katie Halomb & Matthew, Haley Gilbert, 12 treasured great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
