Marie Rainey

Marie Baker Rainey of Plainfield, Ill. passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at her residence at the age of 89. Marie was born January 30, 1929 in Clay Co, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, Robert Baker & Polly Woods Baker. By occupation Marie had worked for Western Electric for 30 years. She enjoyed quilting, was hard to beat in her kitchen, famous for her southern fried chicken & green beans, was a good hand to can vegetables & people loved her chow-chow. She enjoyed spending time with her family & taking care of them & she loved her heritage & family.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents & brothers, McKinley Woods, Arthur Baker & Robert Baker. She leaves the following relatives surviving, 2 sons, Arthur Wayne Rainey of IN. & James Darrell Rainey of KY., 1 daughter, Polly Kaye Rainey Patterson of IL. Also  a host of treasured grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Thursday, March 1, 2018 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Woods Cemetery, Thousandsticks, KY.
