Ruth Gibson Couch Farler

Mrs. Ruth Gibson Couch Farler of London, KY. (formerly of Leslie Co.) passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London, KY. at the age of 86. Ruth was born at Saul, KY. on March 19, 1931 the daughter of the late, Ambrose Rice & Polly Turner Rice. She had been a resident of Laurel Co. for the past 13 years, coming from Leslie Co. By occupation she was a retired CNA. Ruth was a member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY. She enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, cooking & spending time with her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, father of children, Virgil Gibson, Orville Couch & Charlie Farler, brother, Luther Rice, sisters, Leona Rice Bowling, 2 infant sisters, Cledith & Cleo & grandson, John Gibson, 5 step sons & 2 step daughters. She leaves the following relatives surviving, 3 beloved sons, Jimmy Gibson & Rhonda, Middletown, OH., Larry Gibson & Roseanna, Berea, KY. & Rev. Virgil Gibson & Martha, Richmond, KY., 3 beloved daughters, Carol Wagers, Corbin, KY., Evelyn Gibson, Richmond, KY. & Brenda Jones & Estill, London, KY., 2 step sons & 7 step daughters, 1 brother, Donald Rice, Saul, KY., 17 grandchildren, Corinna Lashon, Favien Lashon, III & Connie, Crystal Eversole & Jonathon, Nathan Gibson & Rayetta, Jeremy Gibson & Valerie, Jason Gibson & Caroline, Heather Willoughby & Billy, Samantha Seitz & David, Melissa Brown & Buster, Michael Gibson & Candace, Sandra Ogle & Mickey, Lisa Payton & Steve Broughton, Johnny Jones & Brandy, Robert Woods & Shoba, Brian Woods & Zilpha, Jamie Gibson & Tabitha & Heather Bullock Gibson (widow of John), 31 great grandchildren & 12 great great grandchildren, a host of step grand & great grandchildren, 75 foster children (3 she raised as her own), Alice, Kelley & Terry. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
