Katherine Pennington Wells

Mrs. Katherine Pennington Wells passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. at the age of 89. Katherine was born June 15, 1928 at Macy's Creek in Perry Co., KY. the daughter of the late, Jess Fields & Alpha Wells Fields. Katherine had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. She was a loving & devoted homemaker & a devoted member of the Smilax Church of Christ at Smilax, KY. Katherine enjoyed her flowers, loved talking on the phone, loved her cats, enjoyed attending church & spending time with her church family & spending time with her family.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, loving & devoted husbands, Isaac Pennington & Archie Wells, treasured grandson, Marty Pennington, step-son, Paul Wells, step grandson, Steven Wells & brother, Gillis Fields. She leaves the following relatives surviving, 4 beloved sons, William Isaac Pennington & Dorothy, Smilax, KY., James Douglas Pennington & Barbara, Smilax, KY., Jesse Pennington & Virginia, Smilax, KY. & Gillis Pennington & Wanda, Wooton, KY., 2 beloved daughters, Marie Dossett & Donald, East Bernstadt, KY. & Angie Osborne & Paul Robin, Thousandsticks, KY., one step-son, Archie Wells & Laurie, S.C., two step-daughters, Emma Lucas & Kenneth, N.C. & Linda Groover, N.C., 15 treasured grandchildren, 27 treasured great grandchildren & 1 treasured great-great grandchild on the way. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Thursday, March 1, 2018 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Smilax Church of Christ, Smilax, KY.
