James Harold "Hometown" Begley of Hyden, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY. at the age of 62. James was born in Hyden, KY., January 28, 1956, the son of the late Rob & Edith Browning Begley. James had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a heavy equipment operator & surface miner. James was affliated with the Anna C. Brush Memorial United Presbyterian Church at Dryhill, KY. He enjoyed fishing, mechanic work. singing and paying his guitar, playing and watching a good basketball game, old Chevrolet Chevelles & spending time with his family.James was preceded in death by his parents & five brothers, Steve, David, Vernon, Doug & Donnie Begley. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Brenda Griffie Begley, Hyden, KY., beloved daughter, Tabatha Lynn Begley, Hyden, KY., brother, Edward Begley & Louise, London, KY., sisters, Shirley White & Bernie, Marshall, MI., Bonnie Lucas & Phillip, Bowling Green, KY. & Bettie Johnson & Jerry Collett, Dryhill, KY., special grandchildren, David Lee Hale Caudill & Joshlyn Gay.
