A.P. Gibson

A.P. Gibson of Oneida, Ky., passed away at the Clark Co. Regional Hospital, Winchester, KY. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 75. A.P. was born in Hyden, KY., February 21, 1942, the son of the late, Virgil Gibson & Phroni Couch Gibson. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie & Clay Co.  He was a retired coal miner & had worked with black top paving. A.P. enjoyed horse-backing riding, squirrel hunting, trading & his greatest joy came from spending time with his family especially his grandchlldren.

A.P. was preceded in death by his parents, loving & devoted wife, Gladys Gibson, sisters, Regean Osborne, Lucy Davidson, Bessie Feltner & Veronica Marlene Gibson. He leaves the following relatives surviving, beloved sons, Harlan Caldwell, IN., Billy Joe Gibson & Suzanne, Oneida, KY., Roger Gibson, Oneida, KY. & Doug Baker, Oneida, KY., brothers, Virgil Eddie Gibson, OH., Odis Gibson & Martha, Oneida, KY., Jackie Gibson, Oneida, KY. & Johnny Gibson, LaGrange, KY., sisters, Mallie Osborne & Carl, Thousandsticks, KY., Betty Best & Jack, IN., Darlene Gibson, Hyden, KY. & Shirley Walker & Lindon, Manchester, KY., 4 treasured grandchildren, Billy Joe Gibson, Jr. & Angie, Roger Dwayne Gibson & Megan, Brittany Nicole Gregory & Brandon & Kayla Michelle Gibson & 11 great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
