Veronica J Deaton

Mrs. Veronica J. Deaton,  of Dryhill, KY.  passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY. at the age of 83. Veronica was born January 31, 1935 in Leslie County, KY. the daughter of the late, George Jones & Mary Napier Jones. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Florida, Ohio & North Carolina. By occupation Veronica was a retired business owner. She was a faithful & devoted member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY. She enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, riding horses, cooking, sewing & especially spending time with her family. 

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Glen Jones, brother, Paul Avery Jones & sisters, Betty Gilbert & Lois Rich. She leaves the following relatives surviving, her loving & devoted husband, Loren Deaton, Dryhill, KY., beloved children, Patricia Cordell & Eddie, Hyden, KY., Deborah Prystup, Hickory, North Carolina, Robert Edward Prystup, Jr. & Judy, Hickory, North Carolina & Rebecca Prystup, Hickory, North Carolina, brother, Larry Jones & wife, Mary, Dryhill, KY., sisters, Kathleen Jones, Hamilton, Ohio & Verna Morgan, Beaver Creek, Ohio, 9 treasured grandchildren, Clint Drovie, Jennifer Drovie, Robert Drovie, Becky Foure, Jacqueline Houston, Eddie Prystup, Brittany Delinger, Veronica Stilwell & Danny Stilwell & 16 treasured great grandchildren, Madison, Avery, Jordan, Peyton, Emma, Chloe, Noah, Livy, Ameila, Anson, Ashton, Stella, Dylan, Kira, Robby & Jaxxon. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Saturday, February 10, 2018 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY.
