Mr. George Ralph Sizemore of Hyden, KY. passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. at the age of 74. George was born in Hyden, KY. on June 20, 1943, the son of the late, Bill Sizemore & Jane Lewis Sizemore. George had been a life-long resident of Hyden, KY. He was a retired educator, principal & coach for the Leslie Co. School System. George also had served honorably in the U.S. Army Vietnam era. George enjoyed fishing & sports-especially football. Most importantly his greatest joys were his son & grandson.
George was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Anita Schaffer & Lucretia Sizemore & 2 brothers, Billy Sizemore & Walter Sizemore. George is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 46 years; Mollie Baker Sizemore, Hyden, KY., one beloved son, Ryan Heath Sizemore & wife, Becky, Villa Rica, Georgia & one treasured grandson, Ryan Heath, Jr. "R.J.", 2 brothers, Tom Sizemore & Jewell, Dayton, OH. & David Sizemore & Connie, Winchester, KY., 1 sister, Joyce Moore, North Palm Beach, FL., 2 special brother-in-laws, Larry Baker & Liz & Wayne Baker & Tena all of Mt. Vernon, KY., 2 special sister-in-laws, Helen Joseph, Wooton, KY. & Brenda Martin, Seattle, WA., & 2 special nieces, Jeanne Napier & Lisa Bailey. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
A Celebration of Life in Honor of George will be held, Saturday, January 20, 2018 @ 7:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.,
