Mr. Clyde Collins, 79, of Stacy Fork Road, Hyden, Kentucky, was born February 23, 1938 & departed this life on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. Clyde was born in Leslie Co., Ky. to the union of the late Willis Collins & Sudie Collins. Clyde served honorably in the United States Army. Clyde was a retired coal miner and of the Holiness faith. He enjoyed auto mechanic work and hunting. His greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; one son; Dennis, half-brothers; Bruce, Taylor, Bud, Cicero, one sister; Jean Hoskins & one half-sister, Bernette Rice. Mr. Clyde Collins leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife, Ruth Collins, whom he was united to in marriage on June 15, 1957, three beloved sons; Larry Collins and wife, Minnie of Hyden, Ky., Clifton Collins and wife, Lorene of Hyden, KY., Gary Collins & Melissa of Hyden, Ky., one beloved daughter; Oultie Jane Cornett & husband, Eddie of Pigeon Roost, Ky., one half - sister, Zola Ruth Caldwell, 11 treasured grandchildren; 25 treasured great - grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
