The obituary of Mrs. Jean Shepherd Roark
Mrs. Jean Shepherd Roark, widow of Roy Roark of Warbranch, Ky. departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the University of Ky Medical Center, Lexington, Ky. Jean was born on April 6, 1948 at Roark, KY the daughter of the late Lewis Shepherd and the late Betty Shepherd. Jean was foremost a devoted wife and mother. By occupation she was a former EMT for the Leslie County Ambulance Service, a Toll Booth attendant at Thousandsticks, and a KY Highway employee up to her retirement in 2006. Jean's passions was flower gardening and enjoying time with her family and friends on her front porch. Jean attended New Hope Community Church and Middlefork Community Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Roy of 44 years and one daughter: Gracie Ann Simpson. Jean leaves surviving the following relatives three brothers: Omus and Nadine Shepherd, Don and Linda Shepherd, Taylor and Barbara Collett, two daughters: Betty and Darrell Mosley, and Donna Roark, special sister: Lorrine Shepherd, three grandchildren: Ashley Marie Baker, Roy Jordan Simpson, Cody & Miranda Mosley, two great grandchildren: Aleeah and Colton Mosley.
