Deanna Napier

Deanna Smallwood Napier of Bear Branch, KY. passed away at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the age of 60. Deanna was born in Hyden, KY., the daughter of Elizabeth Estep Smallwood & the late Alonzo Smallwood.  Deanna had a very distinguished career in nursing.  She was register E.R. nurse at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital & other hospitals in eastern Kentucky.  She was known for her professionalism, love of nursing & a genuine concern for her patients.  Deanna enjoyed cooking, sewing,  and being a caregiver for her loving and devoted, mother, Elizabeth.  Deanna was a life-long resident of Leslie Co.  Deanna was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo Smallwood, a infant sister, Delora Smallwood & 4 brothers, James Ancie, Alonzo Kenneth, Charles Stevie & Senior Ray Smallwood. She leaves the following relatives surviving, her loving & devoted mother, Elizabeth Smallwood, Bear Branch, KY., 2 beloved sons, Jeremy Napier & wife, Nikki,  London, KY. & William Kyle Napier & wife, LeighAnna, Hyden, KY., 2 treasured grandchildren, Kylie Rose Napier & Zachary Paul Conor Napier & 1 beloved sister; Janet Stidham & husband, Jim, Wooton, KY., the father of her sons; Willard Napier of Hyden, Ky., special nephew; Tyrone Salyers & wife; Stephanie & A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
