Wilk Couch

Mr. Wilk "Duke" Couch, husband of Wilma Couch of Bear Branch, KY., passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 81. He was born in Leslie County, KY, on Oct. 1, 1935 the son of the late Henry Couch and the late Laura Wombles Couch.  Duke was a retired coal miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He was a devoted member of the Couch's Fork Church of God. Duke enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, knife-making, leather works, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Laura Couch, six sisters: Dorothy Couch, Effie Couch McCoy, Betty Osborne, Lunie Gibson., Martha Radar, Pearlie Marcum, four brothers: Bobby Couch, Floyd Couch, Willie Couch and Gorman Couch. Duke is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Wilma Couch of Bear Branch, KY., one beloved daughter, Debra Couch Kemper & husband, Harold Jr. of London, KY. & three beloved sons, Larry Couch of Big Creek, KY,  Randy Couch  of Pittsburgh, PA, and  Kim Douglas Couch & Sandra of Louisville, KY, eleven grandchildren: Kenneth Allen Kemper & Kendra, Rebecca Lynn Jones & Michael, Lakeisha Beth Barger & Jamie, Cody Douglas Couch, Brandy Nicole Miner & Sam, Shian Turner & Billy, Dustin Couch, Misty Feltner, Peyton Johnson, Aliyah Johnson, Marcus Johnson and seven great grandchildren.
