Floyd Roberts

Mr. Floyd Roberts of Stinnett Ky. passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 91. Floyd was born on December 27, 1925 at Stinnett, KY., the son of the late John Roberts & Lizzie Bray Roberts. Floyd was employed as a coal miner for 37 years having retired from Blue Diamond Coal Co., Leatherwood, Ky.  Floyd was affliated with the Stinnett Gap Church of God & was a life-long resident of Leslie County.   He enjoyed gardening and most importantly spending time with his family--especially his grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jim, Robert , Dee, Burley, Hoy, John L, Jesse & Cecil Roberts & sisters, Mossie Hoskins, Edna Baker, Martha Clarkson, Gladys Johnson & Sophia Hacker.  He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife, of 72 years, Rose Nell Farmer Roberts, Stinnett, KY., 2 beloved sons, Floyd Roberts, Jr. & wife, Linda of Huber Heights, Ohio & Joey Roberts & wife, Lois, of Stinnett, KY., 1 beloved daughter, Sherry Roberts, of Stinnett, KY., 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts Witt & Renee Roberts & 4 great grandchildren, McKenna Witt, Morgan Witt, Connor Cross & Courtney Silence.  Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
