Senior Ray Smallwood

Senior Ray Smallwood born October 22, 1958 departed this life on Friday, July 21, 2017  at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital, Hyden, KY.  Senior Ray is the son of Elizabeth Estep Smallwood and the late Alonzo Smallwood.  He was a former employee of the Leslie Co. Road Dept. and a security guard for the Leslie Co. Board of Education .  Senior Ray developed Lou Gehrig's disease 14 years ago and was forced to take an early retirement.  He enjoyed sports, especially basketball, mechanic work, NASCAR, watching Fox news, & spending time with family.  Senior Ray was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Smallwood, brothers; James Ance Smallwood, Alonzo Kenneth Smallwood, Charles Stevie Smallwood, infant sister; Delora Smallwood, nephew; Todd Smallwood,  special friends; Bobby "Chop" Roberts, & Timmy Ray Estep.  Mr. Senior Ray Smallwood leaves the following relatives surviving; loving and devoted mother; Elizabeth Estep Smallwood of Bear Branch, Ky.,  one beloved daughter; Danica Rae Ann Smallwood of Lexington, Ky; two treasured sisters; Janet Stidham & husband, Jim of Wooton, Ky., Deanna Napier of Bear Branch, Ky., nephews; Jeremy Napier & Nicki of London, Ky.,  Kyle Napier & LeighAnn of Hyden, Ky.,  Stevie Allen Smallwood & Jessica of Hazard, Ky.,  Tyrone Smallwood & Sandra Gail of Clay Co., Ky.,   nieces; Miranda Fugate & Bracky, Jennifer McKyntre & Brian of Richmond, Ky.,  a host of great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law. Bobbi Smallwood o Berea, Ky special friends; Arville D. Feltner, Greg Walker, Calvin Crawford, Omus Shepherd,  Ollie Pollard, Kathy Bowling, Kathleen Rice, Vicky Sizemore, Rosalie Smallwood & the staffs of the Leslie Co. High School & Leslie Co. Board of Education.
