Mrs. Ruth J. Baker passed away on June 20, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born on August 6, 1939 in Leslie County the daughter of the late Lou Wells and the late Maudie Bailey Wells. By occupation Ruth was a homemaker and had been a resident of Fayette County since 2013 having moved from Leslie County. Ruth was a member of the Church of Christ, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lou and Maudie Wells, husband: Linz Baker. She leaves surviving the following relatives; 1 son: Odell Jr. Maggard & Patty of Cutshin, KY. 4 daughters: Alice Stidham & James Arthur Hayes of Lexington, KY, Geraldine Gibson of Cutshin, KY, Maudie Lou Maggard and Linda Baker both of Texas, 2 sisters: Lula McFarland of Williamsburg, KY, Emily Tuco of Madison, OH, 7 grandchildren: Vincent Maggard, Jason Madden, Melinda Gibson, Stanley Gibson, Veronica Sirles, Zachary Ntuaremba, and Brandon Ampofo. Ruth is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
