Silas Young, Jr.

Silas Young, Jr., of Busy, Ky. was born on February 15, 1940 at Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Silas Young & Orpha Napier Young.  He passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, KY. at the age of 77. Jr. was a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired coal miner, maintenace worker & telephone repairman. 

Silas Young, Jr. was preceded in death his parents & a host of brothers & sisters. He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife, Carolyn Stidham Young, Busy, KY., sons, Rick Young & wife, Renda, Hyden, KY. & Silas Ray Young & wife, Stacy, Busy, KY., daughter, Lisa Laub & husband, Jeff, Amherst, VA., grandchildren, Dylan Young, Alex Laub, Kyle Laub, Chandler Young, Erik Young, Derrick Howard, Katelyn Laub, Allyson Laub, Emily Young & Courtney Clay, great grandchildren, Tucker Clay & Lucas Howard, sister, Betty Jean Idle, TN. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

1:00 p.m. - Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Lower Grassy Branch Church of Christ, Busy, KY.
