Mr. Troy Lester Melton, age 89, of 160 Ben Riley Drive, Wooton, KY., was born Nov. 2, 1927 and departed this life on Saturday April 29, 2017 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. Troy was born at Wooton, Ky., the son of Dotha Melton. Troy was a World War II Veteran having served honorably in the United States Army. He was self-employed in the commercial refrigeration business. Troy was a member of the Community United Wooton Evangelical Church, Wooton, Ky. He enjoyed working at his saw-mill, operating his heavy equipment & gardening. Troy was preceded in death by: his mother; Dothy Melton, son: Russell Melton, grandson: Jonathan Troy Melton, daughter-in-law; Deborah K. Melton, brothers; Chester, Robert & sisters; Susie & Edith.
Mr. Troy Lester Melton leaves the following relatives surviving:
Loving & Devoted Wife: Odette Sizemore Melton of Wooton, Ky., whom he was united in marriage to on July 17, 1948.
Children: Jerry Melton & Mary of Wooton, KY., Bruce Melton of Hazard, Ky., & Donna Napier & Mike, of Wooton, Ky.
Grandchildren: Larry Bruce Melton & Tonya, Laura Melton, Rusty Melton & Sabrina, , Stacey Hubbard & Brian, Jace Peters & Kyle, Brian Napier & Emily and Ryleigh Napier
Great Grandchildren: McKenzie Alexander, Hannah Melton, Ben Melton, Carson Peters and Aniston Peters.
Brother: Denver Melton of Florida
