Betty L. Baker Der-Arakelian, 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Born December 1, 1946 in Hyden, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jess Hoskins and Dorothy May (Gibson) Hoskins. She was retired from U.S. Shoe Factory in Crothersville, Indiana and was a member of Green St. Chapel in Scottsburg, Indiana. Survivors include her husband, John C. Der-Arakelian, Scottsburg, Indiana whom she married August 22, 1998, Son: Robert Allen (Cindy) Baker, Deputy, Indiana Brothers: Charles E. (Patricia) Hoskins, Hyden, Kentucky, Floyd (Veronica) Hoskins, Wooten, Kentucky, and Michael Ray Hoskins, Ohio Sister: Grace (Wayne) Knight, Jenkins, Kentucky. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Clayton & Kyle Baker.
She was preceded in death by her stepson, David Der-Akaelian, her parents, and 2 brothers, Henry & Homer Hoskins
Funeral Service: 2:00pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with Rev. Raymond Rosebrook & Rev. Stan Carroll officiating.
Visitation will be 12 to 2 pm Saturday at Buchanan Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
