Nannie Kilburn

July 28, 1928 — February 6, 2017

Mrs. Nannie Kilburn of Wooton, KY. was born on July 28, 1928, the daughter of the late, C.L. Shepherd & the late, Cordelia Combs Shepherd. She passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 88. Nannie had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of 2 years. By occupation she had been a cook at  the W.B. Muncy School & Post Master at the Wooton Post Office for 18 years. Nannie enjoyed flower gardening, sewed for daughters & later her grandchildren & enjoyed crocheting table cloths. She was a member of the Wooton Church of Christ, Wooton, KY.

Nannie was preceded in death by her parents, loving & devoted husband, John L. Kilburn, brothers, Kelly Shepherd & infant brother,  Adrian Shepherd & sisters, Annie Witt & Grace Baker. She leaves the following relatives surviving, 2 beloved daughters, Joyce Ann McComb & Peter, Fruitland Park, FL. & Lucille K. Carlton & Dieter, Kissime, FL., 3 grandchildren, Brandon Stuart McComb & Allison, Lindsay McComb & Megan Carlton, 3 great-grandchildren, Emily Anne McComb, Erin Lindsey Grace McComb & Colin Stuart McComb, special nieces, Irene Kilburn & Geneva Shepherd. Also  a host of other nieces, nephews relatives & friends survive.

Friday, February 10, 2017 @ 1:30 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
