Carl Coots

Mr. Carl Coots of Wooton, KY., passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. Carl was born on May 6, 1939 at Cutshin, KY the son of the late Levi Coots and the late Octavia Morgan Coots. By  occupation he was a disabled Coal Miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY.  Mr. Carl Coots was a member of the Solid Rock Bible Chapel at Cinda, KY. He assisted the development of the Wooton Community Center, coached Little League Baseball and was an avid supporter of Leslie County Athletics. Carl was preceded in death by his parents: Levi and Octavia Coots, two brothers: Clarence "Red" Coots, Ward Coots, one sister: Beatrice Coots. He leaves surviving the following relatives, his loving and devoted wife: Charlene Maggard Coots of Wooton, KY, two sons: Dana Levi Coots of Wooton, Ky, Doug Coots & Janice of Wooton, KY, two brothers: Lucian Coots of Smilax, KY, Newman Coots of West Virginia, Special Niece: Alma Jean Cornett, special Nephew: Timmy Coots, two grandchildren: Lance Carl Coots, Emily Kathryn Coots, two step-grandchildren: Heather Smith & Josh, and Tabatha Lewis & Ashton.
