Mrs. Bessie Holland Jones of Hyden, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the age of 86 years old. She was born at Hollins Fork, Bear Branch, Kentucky the daughter of the late Will Henry Holland and the late Millie Collins Holland. By occupation Bessie was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She was a devoted member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church for 34 years. Bessie enjoyed quilting, crafting, drawing, flower gardening, attending senior citizens, spending time with her family and friends and going to church and serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents: Will and Millie Holland, 1 brother: Telford Holland, 1 sister: Dora Holland Coyle,1 son: Harold Dean Bowling,1 great grandson: Jacob Ford Nettleton, 3 son-in-laws: Larry Sizemore, Herbert Woods, Jr. and Joey Roberts, husbands: Taylor Bowling, Lester Jones (Father (s) of Children) and Robert Henry. She leaves surviving the following relatives: 4 daughters: Linda Bowling Gibson & Jim of Hyden, KY, Sophie Bowling Woods of Manchester, KY, Wonda Jones Morgan & Michael of London, KY and Hallie Jones Bowling & Billy of Hyden, KY. 4 sisters: Mallie Holland Osborne, Ida Holland Gibson & Pearl, Jr., Sophie Holland Allen & Bobby and Mardell Holland Burns all of Bear Branch, KY, 4 brothers: John Henry Holland & Betty of London, KY, Tommy Holland & Jessie, Jimmy Holland & Annie and Will Holland, Jr all of Bear Branch, KY, 8 grandchildren: Greta Sizemore Gay & Doyle (Peanut) of Bear Branch, KY, Danny Woods & Gerri of East Bernstadt, KY, Harold Dean Brown & Shyann of Stigler, OK, Vanessa Morgan Miller & Sonny of London, KY, Brooke Morgan of London, KY April Couch & Ted of Hyden, KY Crystal Bowling Nettleton & Danny of Radford, VA and Heather Bowling of Hyden, KY., seventeen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren & a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
