The Obituary of Lazarus "Larry" Hoskins
Mr. Lazarus "Larry" Hoskins born December 16, 1933 departed this life on Thursday, December 01, 2016 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington, Ky. He was 82 years old. Larry was born at Kettle Island in Bell Co., Ky, the son of the late George Hoskins & Ollie Mosley. Larry was a veteran of the Korean War having served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a retired coal miner having been employed as a coal washer operator. Larry also was employed by Jellico Grocery in Harlan, Ky. He was a former resident of Leslie Co., and had been a resident of Corbin for the past 25 years. Larry was a devoted member of the Church of Christ. He was a avid fisherman, gardener & most importantly enjoyed spending time with his treasured family. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dewey Lee Hoskins & two sisters; Josie Brock & Edith Brock. Mr. Lazarus "Larry" Hoskins leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving and devoted wife, Lois Witt Hoskins of Corbin, Ky., whom he was united in marriage to on September 29, 1956, two beloved sons. Larry Hoskins and wife, Angela of London, Ky., Daven Hoskins and wife, Pam of Baxter, Ky., two beloved daughters; Janie Brock & husband, Larry of Pennington Gap, Virginia, Tammy Smith and husband, Chris, of Corbin, Ky., four brothers; George, Boyd, & Jr. Hoskins all of Tennessee, Cova Hoskins of Ohio, six treasured grandchildren; Ashley, Brittney, Chealsey, Zackary, Allison & Malari, seven treasured great-grandchildren; Nathan Ford, Evan Lee, Emily Jane, Carter Allen, Josey, Ella, Benjamin, one to be born & a host of other relatives and friends.

Saturday, December 3, 2016 @ 12:30 P.M. at the Laurel Funeral Home, Corbin, KY.
