Junior Ray Morgan of Essie, KY., was born on January 11, 1933 at Stinnett, KY., the son of the late, Lee Morgan & the late, Eura Morgan. He passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital, Hyden, KY. at the age of 83. Junior Ray was a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired coal miner. Junior Ray was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY.& he also attended the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, playing his harmonica & spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Junior Ray was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Wanda Smith, niece; Shirley Roberts and nephew; Jerry Roberts. He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife, Claudette Morgan, Essie, KY., his beloved sons, Larry Morgan & Linda, Essie, KY. & Shon Delayne & Rebecca, Cincinnati, OH.,  beloved daughter, Rita Smith & Dwayne, Essie, KY., brother, Berlin Morgan & Rose Evelyn, Essie, KY., sisters, Ida Brock, Essie, KY. & Wilma Lillian Roberts, Essie, KY., grandchildren, Dena Lynette Bowling & William "Hubby", Brian Keith Smith & Crystal, Abigail Morgan, Zachary Morgan, Samuel Morgan & Devin Jackson, great-grandson, Chandler Bowling, special nephew, Terry Roberts & special friend, Ruby Maggard Barrett, 3 special kids (viewed as family), Christian Adams, Brooklyn Adams & Matthew Whitehead. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Friday, November 4, 2016 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church, Essie, KY.
