Dan McDaniel

Dan McDaniel of Wooton, KY., was born on September 28, 1938, the son of the late, Lute McDaniel & the late, Nora Turner McDaniel. He passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 78. Dan had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, by occupation he was a retired coal miner & owned & operated country store for 48 years. Dan enjoyed gardening, 4-wheeling, operating family country store & spending time with his children & grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Ed McDaniel & Jess Bush & 3 sisters, Faye, Carol & Nancy. He leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted wife, Gail Baker McDaniel, Wooton, KY., beloved mother-in-law: Faye Baker of Hyden, KY, 3 sons, Bracky  & Miranda, Hazard, KY., William & Jamie, Paducah, KY. & David, Wooton, KY., 2 daughters, Kim  & Dale, Stinnett, KY. & Leeann & George, London, KY., 1 brother, Nathan McDaniel, London, KY., 2 sisters, Geraldine McDaniel, Louisville, KY. & Irene Peterson, FL.,7 grandchildren, Eden, Tyler, Brandon, Hayden, Raygen, James Michael & Desiree & special nephew, Steve McDaniel. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Wednesday, October 19, 2016 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
