Oscar Fields, Jr. of Hyden, KY. was born on November 27, 1956 at Confluence, KY., the son of the late, Oscar Fields & the late, Elizabeth Shepherd Fields, He passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY. at the age of 59. Oscar had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation Oscar was a former land agent for Miller Brothers & James River Coal. He was a member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church at Wooton, KY. & the Leslie Co. Fish & Game Club. He was commissioned as a KY Colonel. He was a member of the Leslie Co. High School Football team quarter back club, site-base council & was a former little league & softball coach. His hobbies were fishing, gardening, was a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan, UK sports fan & enjoyed watching high school sports. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandaughter, Annah.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar & Elizabeth Shepherd Fields, 2 brothers, Ralph & Otis, brother-in-law, Gary Fenior & father-in-law, Charlie Wells. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Charlene Wells Fields, Hyden, KY., one beloved son, Oscar Brice Fields & fiance', Victoria Bailey, Hyden, KY., one beloved daughter Erin Fields Chamberlin & husband, Tommy, Pikeville, KY., one treasured granddaughter, Annah, 1 brother, James Neal Fields & Edna, Owingsville, KY., 3 sisters, Grace Fenior, Knoxville, TN., Ruth Hamblin & Ader, Confluence, KY. & Bobbie Washer & Bob, Versailles, KY., sister-in-law, Wanda Fields, Carthage, Missouri, mother-in-law, Corine Wells, Hyden, KY. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Friday, October 14, 2016 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
