Oda Bowling

Oda Woods Bowling, of Big Creek, Kentucky, was born on March 20, 1926, and passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was 90 years old.  She was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed working in a garden, being around children, and helping others. She was a member of Big Creek Holiness Church. She is survived by her son James Charles Maggard  and wife Sherry Gail, of Big Creek, Ky, son-in-law Ronnie Hooker of London, Ky, and the daughters of Clifton and Oda: Tonya Dabney, and husband Michael, of Clinton, Tn, and Norma Dittman, andhusband Joe of Louisville, Ky. She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Larry Kevin Maggard (Cindy), Kimberly Combs (Daniel), Kristy Patton (Bobie), Justin Hooker, Laken Hacker, Dakota McWhorter, Michael Dittman, Katrina Dittman, and Andrew Dittman. She is also survived by the following great grandchildren: Madison and Kinsey Maggard, Hannah and Brayden Combs, and Mia Hacker. She leaves surviving her sister Lila Ruth Keen of Dryhill, Kentucky. She is also survived by a special friend of many years Geraldine Cain and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands James Wilson Maggard and Clifton Bowling; her daughters Peggy Jean Maggard and Linda Maggard Hooker; her parents Jim and Peggy Woods; her brothers Dennis Woods, Felix Woods, and Kenneth Woods, and hersisters Hattie Jones, Mable Keen, Nettie Bowling, Edith Asher, Ethel Banks, Joanne Woods, and Merica Woods; and her infant granddaughter Lydia LaRonna Jackson

1:00 P.M. - Wednesday-October 12, 2016 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
VISITATION:
6:00 P.M. - Tuesday-October 11, 2016 at the Funeral Home Chapel
