Jettie Asher

Mrs. Jettie Sizemore Asher was born on February 2, 1927 in Leslie County, KY., the daughter of the late, Oakley Sizemore & the late, Georgia Couch. She passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center, Hyden, KY. at the age of 89. Jettie was a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation she was a homemaker & a former cook for the Leslie County Board of Education at the Stinnett Settlement School. Jettie enjoyed sewing & quilting as her hobbies & especially spending time with her family.

Jettie was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, John Couch, husband, Andy Asher, grandson, Roger Wayne Nantz, sister, Beatrice Couch, Aunt, Ida Sizemore. She leaves the following relatives surviving, beloved sons, Larry Gene Asher & Earlene, London, KY. & Gary Lynn Asher & Sheryl, Hoskinston, KY., beloved daughters, Bernadine Stewart & Lynn, Jackson County, KY. & Ruth Ann Shell & Gary, Hoskinston, KY., brothers, Kenneth Ray Couch, Hamilton, Ohio, Mertie Couch, Clay County, Mitchell Couch, Bear Branch, KY. & Bige Couch, Bear Branch, KY., sister, Marie Williams, Bear Branch, KY.,  6 grandchildren, Scottie Asher & Shannon, Shannon Smith & Rufus, Gary Wayne Nantz, Tim Shell, Rodney Asher & Karen & Ashley Holland & Ryan, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren & 4 step-grandchildren, Chris Abbott, Shawn Abbott, Jason Abbott & James Earl Asher, 2 very special family members, Brenda Sue Hoskins & Bobbie Vance. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
