Mr. Sammy Hendrix, of Yeaddiss, KY. was born at Big Rock, KY. on May 4, 1930. the son of the late, Riley Hendrix & the late, Orgia Lewis Hendrix. He passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the age of 86. Sammy had been a life-long resident of Yeaddiss, KY. By occupation he was a retired coal miner & grocery store owner. He was a member of the Big Fork Church of God at Yeaddiss, KY. He enjoyed coon hunting, gardening, avid gun collector, whittling & visiting with family & friends.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, his loving & devoted wife, Ann Lee Pennington Hendrix, beloved son, Billy Joe Hendrix, brothers, Dewey Hendrix, Lill Hendrix, Charles Ray Hendrix & Lee Hendrix, sisters, Maryland Sizemore, Polly Williams, Mallie Gross & son-in-law, Roger Coots.
He leaves the following relatives surviving, beloved daughters, Phyliss Teen Coots, Yeaddiss, KY. & Joyce Ann Lewis & Howard, Yeaddiss, KY., grandaughter raised as his own, Misty Harris & Bryant, Sizerock, KY. & a niece he raised as his own, Rita Gilbert & Greg, Hyden, KY., great-grandchildren, Quentin Woods, Charity Harris, Olivia Harris & Caden Gilbert, special nephews, Rick Hendrix & Malissa; Randall Hendrix & Julie. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
