Jay Bowling

Mr. Jay Bowling, of Wooton, KY., was born on September 24, 1932 at Harveyton, KY.,  the son of the late, Carl Bowling & the late Goldie Bailey Bowling. He passed away at his residence on Monday. September 19, 2016 at the age of 83. Jay had been a resident of Wooton, KY. for the past 73 years.  He was a retired coal miner. Jay was affliated with the McIntosh Baptist Church, Wooton, KY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, operating equipment, riding atv's in the mountains & spending time with his children & grandchildren.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents, one beloved son, Mark Bowling, three granddaughters, Jessica Bowling, Terena Caldwell & Chelsie Hoskins, one great-granddaughter, Tia Faye, one sister, Faye Combs & three brothers, Billy Joe, Doy & Coy Bowling.

He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife, Mildred J. Melton Bowling, Wooton, KY., one beloved son, Mikie Joe Bowling & Rita, Stinnett, KY., same as his son, Jack Hacker, Wooton, KY., four beloved daughters, Gail Turner & Bill, Hyden, KY., Teresa Bowling, Wooton, KY., Tammy Kilburn & Tim, Wooton, KY. & Karen Kilburn & Tom, Wooton, KY., special twin brother, Kay Bowling & Irene, Wooton, KY., one daughter-in-law, Paula Cornett, 12 grandchildren, Shannon Turner & Libby, Neil Turner & Felicia, Paul Turner & LeeAnne, Byron Turner & Leslie, Nikki Roberts & Randy, Beth Turner & Joey, Tamara Maggard & Dustin, Kimberly Begley & Keith, Tyler Kilburn & Kim, Markena Kilburn, Brent Bowling & Brooke & Brandon Bowling & Ashley, 14 great-grandchildren, Sidney, Taylor, Jay, Hailey, Hunter, Tessa, Corey, Casey, Trevor, Nathanael, Jeslyn, Rylen, Maddox & Myles. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
