Finley Howard, 88 of Bledsoe, died Sunday at his home. He is a US Army Veteran, formerly employed by Bunny Bread, owner & operator of Finley’s Market in Bledsoe, a charter member of Bledsoe Fire Department & member of Bledsoe Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Howard & Nancy Belle Shell Howard; his wife, Marie Howard; a granddaughter, Megan Howard; his brothers, Lawrence Howard, Crit Howard, SR., Marion Howard & Delno Howard; his sisters, Arey Green, Sudie Tolliver, Cammie Napier & Della Nantz; also his son-in-law, Roger Whitehead.
He is survived by his children, Manuel and wife, Brenda Howard of Lexington, KY, Mike and wife Robin Howard of Harlan and Debbie Howard Whitehead of Bledsoe. His grandchildren, Ryan & wife, Tiffany Howard, Justin & wife, Sarah Howard, Aaron Whitehead, Eric Whitehead, and Kaitlin & husband, Waylon Simpson. His great-grandchildren, Madalyn Whitehead, Wadon Whitehead, Caleb Howard, Weston Simpson, Will Howard, Charlotte Howard and an expecting grandson, Raylon Simpson along with a host of family & friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 13th from 5-9 at Henson & Rich Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11AM in the Chapel of Henson & Rich Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Toner Rev. Roy Hodson & Rev. Barry Byrne officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with his grandson & family serving as pallbearers.
