Edgar McDowell Helton

Edgar McDowell Helton, of Helton, KY. was born on May 7, 1942,the son of the late, Chester Helton & the late, Mary Caldwell Helton. He passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 74. Edgar had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, with the exception of living in Chicago, Il. for 9 years. By occupation he was a retired factory worker & store owner. Edgar enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports & gardening & was an avid reader.

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents & 6 infant siblings. He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife of 51 years & 3 months, Hester Caldwell Helton, Helton, KY.,  3 brothers,Herman Helton & wife, Charlene, Helton, KY.,  Richard Helton & special friend, Rose Daniels, Corbin, KY. & Herthel Helton & wife, Barbara, Keavy, KY., 1 sister, Ruby Depew & Joe, Putney, KY.. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Saturday, July 23, 2016 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Middlefork United Methodist Church, Helton, KY.
