Donald Asher

Mr. Donald Asher, was born on May 14, 1933 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Caleb Asher & the late Susie Sizemore Asher. He passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 83. He was a life-long resident of Leslie County, by occupation Donald was a retired coal miner having worked for Blue Diamond Coal Co. for 22 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was affliated with the Anna C. Brush Memorial United Presbyterian Church at Dryhill, KY. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, coon hunting, gardening & farming.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb & Susie Sizemore Asher, sister, Maxie Asher, brothers, Darrell Asher & Hershel Asher & nephews, Scottie Williams & Jeff Adams

He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife, Opal Caldwell Asher, Hyden, KY., 2 beloved sons, Craig Asher, Hyden, KY. & Billy Dale Asher, Hyden, KY., 1 beloved daughter, Lori Wilson & Josh, Manchester, KY., 1 brother, Billy Ray Asher, Indiana, 2 sisters, Dee Sizemore & Denver, Hyden, KY. & Nancy Sizemore, Paintsville, KY., 5 treasured grandchildren, Christan Tremblay & Daniel, Andrew Wooton, Katelyn Asher, Charlie Wilson & Elizabeth Wilson, also a host of nieces, nephews,  other relatives & friends survive.
