Mrs. Mary Ellen Nantz, 85, of Stinnett, Ky., formally of Mozelle, Ky. departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. She was born on January 23, 1931 at Helton, Ky., to to the union of Onzie and Mallie Nantz. Ellen was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a Born again Christian with a firm belief in God, and a faithful member of the Mozelle Church of God. She also attended the Stinnett Gap Church of God. Ellen enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, going to the Senior Citizens Center & Church, & most importantly spending time with family. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; Onzie and Mallie, her beloved daughter; Marie Garrison, her beloved son-in-law; Charles Slusher, beloved great grandson; Noah Napier, 5 brothers; Covey Nantz, Earl Nantz, Otis Nantz, Elmer Nantz, Burly Lawson & sister; Attie Williams. Mrs. Mary Ellen Nantz leaves the following relatives surviving: the father of her children; Harold Howard of Mozelle, Ky., and the following children; Freddy Howard and wife, Becky of Helton, Ky., Glenn Howard of Mozelle, Ky., Sue Slusher & fiance, Roy G. Asher, of Mozelle, Ky., Dean Howard and wife, Michelle of Manchester, Ky., son-in-law; John Garrison of Stinnett, Ky., and the following treasured grandchildren; Shannon Garrison, Dwayne Garrison, Scott Slusher, Amanda Napier, Trent Brock, Brandon Brock, Tyler Brock, Colby Howard, Landon Howard; three treasured, great-grandchildren; Hailey Napier, Landon Brock, Ella Brock; one brother; Claude Nantz of Warsaw, Ky., along with a host of other treasured family and friends to mourn her death.
