Melanie Wilma Gibson Brock was born on July 13, 1969 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Harry Gibson & Joyce Sparks Gibson. Melanie passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Harlan ARH Hospital in Harlan, KY. at the age of 46. Melanie had been a life-long resident of Harlan & Leslie Co. Melanie was a beautician & hair dresser. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, KY. Melanie enjoyed spending time with her family, painting & art.
Melanie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charlie & Katherine Sparks & paternal grandparents, Barney & Anna Lee Gibson
She leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted parents, Harry & Joyce Sparks Gibson, Harlan, KY., one beloved son, Casey Caudle Brock & fiance; Chandra Nicole Witt, Helton, KY., one sister, Michelle Asher & husband; Noah, Harlan, KY., 2 treasured nieces, LeAnna Asher & Courtney Asher, also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
FUNERAL: Wednesday, June 22, 2016 @ 3:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
MINISTER: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis
INTERMENT: Brown Cemetery, Bledsoe, KY.
VISITATION: Wednesday, June 22, 2016 @ 12:00 at the Funeral Home Chapel
