Michael Roy Sizemore, 66, died in The Villages, Florida on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
Michael began his Air Force career as a young airman. He attended Wright State University where he received his Master of Science in Logistics Management and reenlisted in the Air Force as a Commissioned Officer. Michael proudly served his country in Desert Storm, and later served as the former Commander of the 78th Logistics Group at Robins AFB. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Above all else, Michael loved his family, and his grandchildren most of all. He was a devoted Grandfather to each and every one of them.
He loved all University of Kentucky athletics and some would say he was a fanatic. Michael loved riding his Harley, NASCAR, and classic country and gospel music. He had a love of automobiles and was happiest when he was washing and detailing what ever cars he owned at the time.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Perkins Sizemore and father, Don Sizemore, both of Hyden, Kentucky. Michael was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Larry Kelvin Sizemore, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 12, 2016, also in Hyden, Kentucky.
Michael is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cynthia M. Sizemore; two sons, Matthew Gabriel Sizemore (Anna) and their sons, Isaac, Andrew, Caleb and Elias; and Michael Cameron Sizemore (Monica) and their children, Aden, Gloria Kay, and Liam. Michael is also survived by his two stepchildren, Angelina Banks and her children, Ryleigh, Olivia, and Joseph; and Terry W. Banks (Jaimie) and their children, Jessie, Taylor, and Makayla.
Michael is also survived by his brother, Teddy Don Sizemore; his devoted and loving sister, Joy Sizemore Jones of Hyden, Kentucky, and his brother, Tim Sizemore (Suzanne) of London, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews that all loved Uncle "Mickey."
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 4, 2016, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Michael's Eulogy will be delivered by Reverend Roscoe Asher, who is married to Michael's niece, Julia Sizemore Asher, of Asher, Kentucky. Michael will ride to his eternal resting place with his son, Cameron, when they will have one last Harley ride together accompanied by The Patriot Guard. He will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins, Georgia with full Military Honors.
