Ricky Bowling, 55, passed away at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY on Saturday, April 30, 2016. He was born at Hyden, KY on November 14, 1960 , the son of the late Troy Lee Bowling and Velma Morgan Bowling. By occupation he was a self-employed carpenter and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Ricky enjoyed music, singing, playing guitar, and especially spending time with his family. He was affiliated with the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY. Ricky was preceded in death by his father: Troy Bowling, grandmother: Dortha Baker Bowling, and one grandson: Harley. He leaves surviving the following relatives his Mother: Velma Morgan Bowling of Stinnett, KY, Special Companion & fiance: Melissa Causey (Mother of Candis), Patricia Woods (Mother of Derrick & Doug) wife: Dora Hamrick Bowling (Mother of Kendra), three sons: Richard Douglas Bowling & Sarah Renee of Stinnett, KY, Derrick Bowling & Jasmine of Stinnett, KY, Billy Michael Jones of Stinnett, KY, two daughters: Candis Whitehead & Terry of Stinnett, KY, Kendra Lashay Bowling & fiance, Alex Morgan of Hyden, KY, two brothers: James Bowling & Denise of Stinnett, KY, Scott Bowling of Stinnett, KY, special Niece: Sherry Bowling, Nephew: James Eric Bowling, five grandchildren: Autumn Nicole Bowling, Michael D. Jones, Aleean Bowling, Braxton Bowling, Cheyenne Bowling, Terri Kaydance Whitehead. Ricky is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
