THE OBITUARY OF MR. EDGAR ALLEN MUNCY

      Mr. Edgar Allen Muncy born March 21, 1930 departed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his residence in South Port North Carolina.  He was 86 years old.  Edgar was born at Dryhill, Kentucky, the son of the late Bige Muncy & Dicy Woods Muncy.  Edgar was a Veteran of World War II, having served honorably in the United State Army.  He was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church in Southport, North Carolina.  Edgar was a former resident of Hyden, Ky., and had been a resident of North Carolina for the past 23 years. He was an avid deer hunter and gardener, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Mr. Edgar Allen Muncy was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; Ann Price, Evelyn Rickey, & one brother; Billy Muncy.  Mr. Edgar Allen Muncy leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving and devoted wife; Karen Napier Muncy of Southport, North Carolina, four beloved sons; David Allen Muncy of Ohio, Leslie Huff & wife, Oma Carol,  of Dryhill, Ky., Michael Huff of Dryhill, Ky., Ronnie Huff and wife, Teresa of Dryhill, Ky., four treasured grandchildren; Sonya Wright & husband, Joey,. Joshua Huff & wife, Jessica, Zachariah Huff & wife, Alissa, Karena Huff,  three treasured great grandchildren &  a host of other relatives and friends.

 2:00 p.m. - Monday - April 11, 2016 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky.
