Verna Begley Feltner Couch of Le Flore, Oklahoma, formerly of Wooton, KY.was born on February 25, 1925, she passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Peachtree Palliative Care Unit in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Verna Was born on February 25, 1925 at Cutshin, KY the daughter of the late Reuben Begley and the late Emma Stidham Begley. By occupation she was a retired worker from the Weatherhead Factory in Antweep, Ohio, and owner and operator of a family grocery store. Verna enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, ceramics, word search books, animals and especially being involved in the life of her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Verna Begley Couch was a devoted charter member and founder of the McIntosh Baptist Church.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents: Reuben and Emma Begley, husbands, Will Feltner & Cleon Couch, brother: Johnie Begley & Wife Jean. She leaves surviving, one son: James W. Feltner & Wife Marilyn of Le Flore, Oklahoma, 2 granddaughters: Gerrianna Woods & Danny of East Bernstadt, KY and Mandy Melton & Jamie of Wooton, KY, 2 brothers: Norman Begley & Faye of Hyden, KY & Everett Begley & Lois of Hyden, KY three great grandchildren: Harley Woods, Macey Melton and Cameron Melton, and special friend, Elizabeth Bowling.
