The Obituary of Mr. Stanley Collett
Stanley Collett age 84 of McKee, KY passed away on Tuesday-March 8, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. Stanley was born on April 5, 1931 in Beverly, Ky to Dillon Collett and Ella Cox Collett. Stanley married Laura (Couch) Collett on June 7, 1951 in East Bernstadt, KY. Together they had one son: Stanley Collett, Jr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents: Dill and Ella Collett. He is survived by his loving wife: Laura, and their son: Stan and his wife Kaye. Stanley is also survived by the following grandchildren: Jamie and his wife Kimberly and their daughters, Makala, Macey, Chastity Hartwell and her husband: Cary and their children: Justin, Taylor, Bryson, and Bryon Gay, Veronica Venable and her husband: Scott and their children: Brennon and Sydney. Stanley also leaves behind a host of other treasured relatives that loved him dearly. Stanley spent the last 38 years living in Jackson County, KY but spent many years in Fort Wayne, IN as well. He was a member of the Baptist faith but also loved attending church at Warfork Holiness church with his grandchildren. Stanley loved his family and cherished spending time with them. It was a usual occurrence to see him outside riding the grandchildren on his golf cart, playing ball or anything else they asked him to do. Stanley made many friends through trading items, mainly guns and knives and loved to show off his trades. Stanley was a friend to many and was adored by his family.
