THE OBITUARY OF MR. GARRETT MICHAEL BEGLEY
Mr. Garrett Michael Begley of Inez, Ky. was born April 27, 1950 and departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia at the age of 65. Michael was born in Hyden, Ky., the son of the late Garrett Begley & Hannah Collins Begley. Michael was a graduate of Leslie Co. High School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force & was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Michael had a very distinguished career in the coal mining industry. He worked for 38 years in the mines, and most recently was a foreman with PonTiki Coal Company in Martin Co. Ky. He had been a resident of Inez, Ky., since 1972. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling & most importantly spending time with his family.
Garrett Michael Begley was preceded in death by his parents; Garrett & Hannah Collins Begley, one sister; Linda Gail Begley, & one infant sister.
Mr. Garrett Michael Begley leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife; Mary Wooton Begley, two beloved sons; Michael Anthony Begley and Cara of Inez, Ky., Dion Shane Begley & Amy, two brothers; Larry Wayne Begley & Millie of Hyden, Ky., Lonnie James Begley of Hyden, Ky., one sister; Deborah Lynn Baker & Charles (Michael's best friend) of Columbia, Ky., five treasured grandchildren; Katie Begley, Shane Begley, Nathan Begley, Wesley Begley, Emma Begley & a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
FUNERAL SERVICE:
1:00 P.M. - Tuesday - March 8, 2016 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, KY.
VISITATION:
6:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Monday - March 7, 2016 at the funeral home
