Melvin Dean Lash

Melvin Dean Lash, of Busy, KY.  was born on May 30, 1944 in Flint, Michigan the son of the late, Edward Lash & Charlene Clapp Lash, he passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY., at the age of 71. Melvin had been a resident of Leslie County for the past 22 years. Melvin was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a mason & shriner at the Krypton Lodge. Melvin was of the Methodist Faith, he enjoyed cooking, gun, knives, coins & beer steins collections.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bonnie Lash & step-brother, Gary Hargraves, he leaves the following relatives surviving, mother of children, Patsy Lash, Busy, KY., son, Johnny Jacob Lash, Hazard, KY., daughters, Donna Simpson & Darren, Wellington, KY. & Elizabeth Neace & Michael, Shelbyville, KY., brothers, David Lash & Diane, Traverse City, MI. , Denver Hargraves, Traverse City, MI. & Bob Hargraves & Donna, Ft. Meyers, FL., sister, Louann McMillan & David, Beaulah, MI., grandchildren, Melanie Slusher & Travis, Trey Abner & Hunter Neace, great-grandchildren, Lilly Slusher & Mason Slusher. Also a host of nieces, nephews other relatives & friends survive.

Tuesday, March 1, 2016 @ 12:00 Noon at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY., with full military rites performed by the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter #133
