THE OBITUARY OF MRS. NANNIE W. HORNSBY

      Mrs. Nannie W. Hornsby, 84 of Hyden, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Ky.  Nannie was born on Nov. 25, 1931 at Harlan, KY the daughter of the late James "Tom Cat" Wooton and the late Nola Vanover Wooton. By occupation she was the former owner and operator of H & H Wholesale  Co., and was also retired Purchasing Agent for the Mary Breckinridge Hospital. Nannie was a avid U.K fan, Cincinnati Reds fan &  Washington Redskins fan,  but she especially enjoyed being involved in the lives of her family.  She was a life-long resident of Leslie County and had been a member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Hyden, KY. She had most recently been attending the Willow Fern Baptist Church at Bulan, KY. Nannie was preceded in death by her parents: James "Tom Cat" and Nola Wooton, her loving & devoted husband: James  Pearl Hornsby, Jr.., brother: Eugene Wooton, Sisters: Patty Wooton, Betty Joseph, Josephine Cowan, beloved son-in-law: Jerry Ray Hensley.   She leaves surviving the following relatives four sons: Robert Hornsby of Thousandsticks, KY, Doug Hornsby & Vada of Hazard, KY, James P. Hornsby of Hazard, KY, Russell Hornsby & Ada of Hyden, KY, three daughters: Pam Hensley of Hyden, KY, Nancy Hornsby France & Terry of Wooton, KY, Marian Asher & Zandall of Winchester, KY, one brother: Curtis Wooton & Shirley of Wooton, KY, two sisters: Carrie Cornett of Wooton, KY, Atta Pennington of Yeaddiss, KY, 17 Grandchildren, Regenia Morgan, Tammy Ann Smith, Stacy Brock, Robert Allen Hornsby, Amanda Barnett, Matthew Hornsby, Jeremy James Hornsby, Lester C. Smith, Travis France, Zack France, Paige Hornsby, Cindy Jean Hornsby, Kalicia Hornsby, Chan Hornsby, Alyssa Hornsby, Jeremy Asher & Rachal Faulkner, 13 Great Grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. 

FUNERAL SERVICES:
2:00 p.m. - Sunday - February 28, 2016 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel @ Hyden, KY.
VISITATION:
1:oo p.m. until funeral time - Sunday-February 28, 2016 at the funeral home.

Macedonia Cemetery at Burning Springs, KY.
