Denver Baker

Mr. Denver Baker born December 3, 1924 departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, Ky.  He was 91 years old.  Denver was born at Yeaddiss, Ky., the son of the late Bill Baker & Martha Shepherd.  Denver was a retired coal miner having worked at Blue Diamond Coal Co., Leatherwood, Ky.  Denver was a devoted member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky.  He enjoyed gardening & especially spending time with his family.  Denver was preceded in death by his parents & his loving and devoted wife, Judy Adams Baker.  Mr. Denver Baker leaves the following relatives surviving:  two beloved sons; Earnest Baker & Mary Sue of Wooton, Ky., Clyde Baker & Pat of Yeaddiss, Ky., three beloved daughters; Beatrice Haley & Bill of Hazard, Ky., Corene Begley & Donnie Jack "D.J." of Hazard, Ky.,  Barbara Baker of Lexington, Ky., one brother; Enos Callahan & Barbara of Illinois, seven treasured grandchildren; Judy Miller, Randall Baker, Chris Haley, Greg Haley, Bryan Johnson, Michael Baker, Daniel Baker, twelve treasured great-grandchildren, & a host of other relatives and friends.

 1:00 P.M. - Saturday - February 27, 2016 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky.

 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Friday - February 26, 2016 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky.

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Full Gospel Church Cemetery, Smilax, Ky.

The grandsons & granddaughter will serve as pallbearers & the great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
